The first salt room that will be opened in Tampa today, is an authentic Eastern European therapy that helps people suffering from respiratory conditions breathe easier naturally.

Today, Breathing Clear will open in Tampa, making this city the first in the nation with an authentic speleotherapy salt room. Speleotherapy, or cave therapy, has been used in European countries for decades to provide relief for sufferers of respiratory ailments such as allergies, asthma, bronchitis, chronic pulmonary obstructive disorder (COPD), cystic fibrosis, and sinusitis. The 100 percent natural and safe therapy complements the treatment plan of individuals experiencing respiratory issues to help them breathe easier.

“We are excited to bring the first salt rooms offering speleotherapy exclusively in the United States to Tampa,” said Amir Glogau, president of Breathing Clear. “Thousands of people who have been looking for natural, drug free relief from symptoms that cause breathing difficulties can enjoy the benefits of an authentic speleochamber experience minutes from home.”

Breathing Clear’s salt rooms are built using salt blocks mined in the Ukraine, where the salt contains the highest concentration of sodium chloride in the world. Sodium chloride is the substance that absorbs moisture and has cleansing and disinfecting qualities.

To gain the benefits of the speleotherapy, clients simply relax in one of Breathing Clear’s salt rooms for an hour and breathe naturally. Microscopic salt particles penetrate deep into the lungs and sinuses, drawing excess fluid out, killing bacteria and improving overall lung function. The salt particles also convert positive ions into negative ions, which help strengthen the body’s immune system. Over the course of several sessions, the lungs are deeply cleansed and purified and the client is able to breathe easier.

Speleotherapy is best known in Eastern Europe, where salt caves are plentiful and their benefits have been well established. People have been visiting salt caves and mines since the middle ages for natural relief from symptoms of respiratory diseases.

Breathing Clear’s salt rooms are not to be confused with other salt rooms in the country, where halotherapy is used, not speleotherapy. Halotherapy is a more invasive approach to salt therapy. Instead of a patient passively inhaling the natural aerosol effect emitted by the salt blocks, halotherapy pumps a harsh salt aerosol spray into the room to simulate the cave experience.

Breathing Clear is located at 3838 Neptune Ave., Suite D-2, Tampa, Fla., 33629. This is the first location of many planned for Florida and other states. For more information, visit http://breathingclear.com or call 877-360-SALT.
