Top Kill procedure to cap the BP oil spill has already started, but it will take 24 hours to know if it works.
BP's CEO Tony Hayward said today that it will take about 24 hours before we know if Top Kill works. BP started the procedue at about 1 PM Central Time. The attempt is broadcast live online.

Newshour website says more than 30,000 gallons of oil is has leacked so far today. People and the environmentalists are frustrated how the BP oil leak is being handled.
Everyone hopes Top Kill is a success to stop the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
