Does the humanity need Toyota's new humanoid running robot and the likes of it? Perhaps yes. However, what are we doing to fully control their behavior if it turns against the human race?
These robots are becoming better and better. What if one day they say to their creators, "I am sorry, I don't think I can disconnect or shot down."
