What happens when you read words of Jesus in reverse order

Seek first the kingdom of God

When it comes to certain passages of the Gospel and words of Jesus, for millions of Christians it seems that they are well familiar with it and its meaning. But have you tried to read the meaning in reverse order?

Try to read some famous passages of the New Testament in reverse order. Try it. The meaning, of course, will not change, but you will be surprised and the result will be very revealing, opening many parenthesis.

For example in the Luke's Gospel the Lord says "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you." (Luke 17:21). Then, in Matthew's Gospel He says the following: "So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matt. 6:31-33)

Now, let's try to read this passage in the reverse order and here it what it will look like. People, my children, if you don't seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in your lives, you will eventually lose food, drink, clothing and all things that you call earthly prosperity.

Here is the answer to the question why mankind, seeking how to reach prosperity and solution to its earthly problems, even 2000 years after Christ, has not still found them and has not neared to victory over these problems. Instead, it moves with sharp speed toward tragedy. This is because no human progress, whether scientific, technological or cultural, have not been able to dispel human suffering and relieve mankind from being a prisoner to human passions.

What media and TV call a scientific progress, has not helped us to overcome pride, selfishness, fear, gossiping, envy, anger, laziness, covetousness, gluttony, lust and other forms of deadly sins. We keep transgressing against against both positive and prohibitive commandments of God.

Yet, many people, including Christians, ask, why are so many things in this world wrong.

Things are wrong because we, the humans look at them from a wrong angle. We have largely lost the desire for spiritual values and live in a society which worships two idols: money and entertainment.

Therefore, remember the words of Jesus well. Unless you first seek the Kingdom of God, you will lose food, drink, clothing and everything that you call earthly prosperity.
