Seven Celebrities Rumored to be American Idol Judges

With Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi leaving Fox's American Idol, Fox television is up in arms wondering who is going to replace them and join Randy Jackson at the judges table. The word out, according to Deadline Hollywood is that it was DeGenere's choice to leave the show; however, DioGuardi was asked to leave as she was "no longer welcomed on the set."

Ellen DeGeneres, the comedian/talk show host told Fox that the reason she wanted to forgo another season as an American Idol judge is because her very busy schedule was getting in the way and making it too much for her. She also told Fox that she was not comfortable in her role as judge. She said that she was not only uncomfortable critiquing people, but that she also felt uncomfortable hurting their feelings when she didn't like their performances.

DeGeneres stated, "A couple months ago, I let Fox and the American Idol producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me.'' DeGeneres also said, ``[I]t was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.''

Kara DioGuardi on the other hand didn't volunteer to leave the American Idol show and judge's table. Deadline Hollywood reported DioGuardi, "was no longer welcome on the set." DioGuardi, a Grammy-nominated songwriter joined the show in 2008, but it was said that she never quite fit in with the other judges or with the fans.

DioGuardi stated, "It was pretty hellish. Yeah, I got slagged. It was difficult for [people] to understand why somebody who nobody had ever heard of could kind of come out of nowhere and sit next to these iconic figures.''

Questions are now flying around as to who will replace Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuari. Rumors are also circling with many different names. The following names are only rumored names that came across not only the Internet, but also sources such as USMagazine. The rumors begin with Jennifer Lopez who has been said to have already been hired, but nothing's solid. Other celebrities slated for the judge's table role are Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith frontman, Bret Michaels, the Poison frontman and winner of Celebrity Apprentice, Jessica Simpson, pop singer, Elton John, iconic singer, Howard Stern, who will delivery brutal honest to its core, and lastly, Jamie Foxx, actor/singer/comedian.
