Additional details have been released about the new Tylenol Recall that occurred on July 15th as the third recall in 2010. Johnson & Johnson recalled three million bottles of different kinds medicines.

Medicines included Tylenol for children and adults, several forms of Benadryl allergy tablets, Benadryl, Extra Strength Tylenol gels and Motrin painkillers. The complaint on these medications was that there was a musty or moldy smell coming from the bottles. Johnson & Johnson believes the odors were coming from chemicals in the wooden pallets in which the medicines were being shipped and stored.

Although, the number of bottles involved in the recall was three million, Johnson & Johnson did not disclose how many bottles were actually affected with the odors. A company spokesperson made a statement, "We shipped approximately 2.5 million bottles of the affected lots involved in yesterday's (Thursday) recall." The company felt as though they needed to make a statement about this grand ordeal following the major criticism and questions the company has been facing from the media. Not to mention from consumers as well.

Once again, for the third time this year, Johnson & Johnson has to answer questions involving the quality and safety of their products. Johnson & Johnson, once a very reliable and comforting company for the public, is now under great congressional investigation and scrutiny from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration scrutiny involving these huge recalls. In addition, consumers are extremely concerned that the medications they give to themselves for years and especially to their children are not safe anymore. Many people are turning to generic brands of their favorite Tylenol products.

Johnson & Johnson, from their baby shampoo to their children's medications always made consumers feel safe and secure about their products. Many parents counted on Johnson & Johnson products without question to help their children when they were sick. Now, people are extremely skeptical about using Tylenol products. They once hadn't any thoughts about J&J products, as far as them being a danger to their families, and now, the table have turned entirely. The entire Johnson & Johnson name seems to be damaged and how the company will repair the damage remains to be seen.

For any questions concerning these products or any other issues, please contact Tylenol and their maker Johnson & Johnson - McNeil Healthcare toll-free at 888-222-6036 weekdays 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET and weekends, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET.

Where are the very large bottles of tylenol for arthritis. I cant find much tylenol. If this is all about the recall, can you tell me when you will be making the tylenol available again?

Is not even on the list of recalled products and yet, you cannot find any except for small bottles and no generic. If there was not a problem with Tylenol Arthritis then why can't we find it at our local stores?
