Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown was rushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, ABC News has confirmed.
Multiple early reports, the first coming from celebrity site TMZ, have been confirmed by an official statement from the Houston camp. As reported by ABC:
"According to a press release sent to ABC News, Bobbi Kristina was transported from the hotel at 10:26 a.m. local time to Cedar-Sinai Hospital and was "awake and alert" at the time."
Reportedly suffering from major anxiety, paramedics were called to the Beverly Hills Hotel where Brown and her late mother were staying throughout the week leading to up to tonight's Grammy Awards.
Bobbi Kristina, 19 was refused permission to view her mother's body at the hotel prior to it being transported to the same hospital. A shouting match ensued as police and paramedics kept her from entering the hotel room where Houston had been staying.
Reports of her being attended to by her great aunt Dionne Warwick did not calm her nor change the mind of authorities who were protecting the premises, prior to determining if it was a crime scene or just a hotel room in which a terrible accident took place.
Ms. Brown was at her mother's side on Thursday night at the VIP lounge of Tru nightclub where Houston renewed old acquaintances with singer El DeBarge and later got into a loud argument with another singer.
Whitney Houston was witnessed getting into a tussle with "X-Factor" singer Stacy Francis. Radaronline.com reported exclusively on the argument that followed what the celebrity site called a night of tequila.
Francis was engaged in a conversation with hip hop artist Ray J and onlookers saw what all have described as an agitated and intoxicated Houston rail against Francis who she believed was cozying up to Ray J.
Recently, Bobbi Kristina posted a photo online of Houston, Ray J and herself during a Christmas time ride from the airport after a trip. Francis confirmed the relationship between Houston and the male singer in a Twitter post.
"oh boy. .... She and Ray J are a couple and she thought that Ray was interested in me. So she asked who was I to him.." She was informed by Ray J that he and Francis were old friends.
Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown was performing with New Edition in Mississippi on Saturday night when he was informed of the news about his ex-wife.
The group issued a statement. "We are absolutely shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death of our dear sister Whitney. As a group, we are extremely close; when one of us hurts, we all hurt."
Brown was reportedly devastated but performed as scheduled, saying on stage, "I love you Whitney," as he pointed to the sky.
