Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds was originally released back in February of this year and has received favorable reviews from gamers and critics. That did not stop Capcom from doing a complete overhaul of the fighting series title, a new 'Ultimate' edition, which will now be released for the Sony Playstation 3 in November.
The new Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 game will feature eight new stages, new modes and will also introduce twelve new playable game characters.
Four of the new characters, Marvel's Hawkeye and Ghostrider and the Capcom characters Firebrand (Ghosts 'n Goblins) and Strider Hiryu, were revealed in Capcom's original announcement.
Now comes word that some eager message board users from the popular gaming sites GameFAQs and NeoGAF have found character art on the Capcom servers that is believed to be of some new characters that will be added to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
The discovered character artwork depicts additional characters: Frank West from the game Dead Rising, Phoenix Wright from the game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Nemesis from Resident Evil, and Vergil from Devil May Cry, along with Marvel superheroes Dr. Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon and Iron Fist.
The artwork was discovered in an online folder that housed picture files of the other characters found in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, leading many to believe that they will be included when the game is finally released.
The character artwork believed to be of the new characters that will be found in the upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 title has since been removed from the Capcom server. However, rumors persisted that the game and comic book personalities mentioned above will be the ones added.
