Hooters tabs Arkansas' Kaylee Farris as 2012 Girl of the Year [VIDEO]

Hooters of America has its 'Girl of the Year' for 2012.

The Atlanta-based wings chain, known more for its attractive workers in orange shorts than the food served up at its many nationwide locations, named its 2012 Hooters Girl of the Year on Thursday, tabbing Fort Smith, Arkansas Hooters Girl Kaylee Farris.

A heavily tanned, buxom brunette, Farris has been with Hooters for more than four-and-a-half years, working on the restaurant chain's international training team. She was nominated as 'Hooters Girl of the Quarter' by her regional team and eventually won the honor, which put her in contention for the top prize: Hooters Girl of the Year 2012.

Before making their decision, executive leaders for Hooters of America flew Farris and three other Hooters Girls to the companies corporate headquarters in Atlanta, George, and, when the dust settled, it as the Fort Smith native who emerged as the company's representative of choice for Hooters Girl of the Year.

"I could not be happier for Kaylee," stated Tommy Yardy, Director of Operations for Hooters of America, LLC, in a press release. "She encompasses everything a Hooters Girl stands for with energy, beauty, personality and most of all a willingness to help her fellow employees and customers."

For Farris, working at Hooters has opened numerous doors. She currently works on a team tasked with opening Hooters locations regionally and globally, and has taken part in a long line of Hooters-related events, including the Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant, 2011 and 2012 Hooters Calendar, Hooters Magazine and a number of the company's billboards that are displayed across the U.S.

"I love working at Hooters because of the opportunities," said Farris of her experiences working for Hooters in a 2012 Dream Girl video. "It's been such a blast."

Not only has she nailed down the Hooters Girl of the Year crown, Farris is also in the running for the Hooters Dream Girl Aruba 2012. The competition, presented by Fox Sports, is an ongoing event filmed in Aruba that includes various photo shoots and bikini contests, and is currently being shown on the SPEED network and Fuel TV.

After holding off Baton Rouge's Brittany Farmer in the first round, Farris is going head-to-head with South Lakeland blonde Casey Luckey in Round 2. Voting for the second round of the Dream Girl competition closes on February 9th, while voting for Round 3 runs from February 10th through the 16th.
