After touring with Gregg Allman in 2011, the Steve Miller Band will be set to fly high like a space cowboy across the countryside with a 2012 world tour. The legendary rock group recently revealed the locations and dates for their upcoming tour, which is expected to make a total of 29 stops across the United States before heading overseas for the final series of concerts.
The Steve Miller Band's 2012 world tour will tentatively begin with an appearance at the Doheny Blues Festival in Dana Point, California on May 20th, before setting out on the road starting with a June 16th show at the Freedom Fest in LaCross, Wisconsin. The U.S. portion of the upcoming concert series is expected to stretch through September, with a final stateside show at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas on the 30th of that month.
Following the Austin, TX show, the Steve Miller Band will head across the pond for a series of concerts in Europe, starting with a show at Roundhouse in London, England on October 20th. The UK portion of the 2012 world tour is set to conclude in Vienna Austria with a show at the Gasometer on November 4th.

The Steve Miller Band has released 18 studio albums and a wealth of classic rock & roll hits over the past four decades. The group's last studio offering, 'Let Your Hair Down', was released in April of 2011 and was recorded alongside the band's previous album, the 2010 joint 'Bingo!'.
Produced by Steve Miller and Andy Johns, a number of classic rock veterans lended their expertrise to 'Let Your Hair Down', including Buddy Guy, Jimmy Reed, Rosco Gordon, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Jimmy McCracklin.
