As I stated in HULIQ's predictions for hardware unit sales numbers in February 2011, the NPD Group's monthly report form as close to a final word about the state of the game industry as we have current available. That said, HULIQ regularly publishes a weekly tracking chart, and wants to give our readers the chance to compare what our data suggests versus what the NPD Group's report will ultimately show.
This story will be reissued once the official data comes out in approximately two weeks, but the calendar month has passed and HULIQ is prepared to offer our predictions. Complicating matters is that HULIQ's data splits each video game into its separate SKUs (whereas the NPD looks at combined unit sales across all platforms), forcing me to make some inferences when reassembling the data to match the way the NPD report will look.
HULIQ Predicts Top 10-Selling Video Games in February 2011:
- Killzone 3
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Bulletstorm
- Zumba Fitness
- Just Dance 2
- Marvel vs Capcom 3
- Dead Space 2
- Michael Jackson: The Experience
- NBA 2K11
- Red Dead Redemption
Reminder: HULIQ News releases its weekly tracking chart, complete with analysis, every Tuesday morning before 10 AM Eastern. The most recent chart can be found here.
