Three ingredient cookies can be all natural, nothing but oats, fruit and peanut butter; or the recipe may include processed foods like cake mix and sugar.

Either way three ingredient recipes are an ideal solutions for busy moms and chefs who like shortcuts.

This diverse three ingredient list includes nuts, bananas, eggs, flour, oats, peanut butter and chocolate chip. All cookies have a bake time of at least fifteen minutes, but the mixing and baking is incredibly easy and incredibly fast. A batch of cookie dough can be cheaper, and in many cases far healthier, than store brought, pre-made ready to bake cookies.

Peanut Butter Cookies are a huge favorite on the web. Peanut butter cookie recipes vary however. Some use peanut butter and oats, rather than sugar and egg.

• 1 cup of white sugar
• 1 cup of peanut butter
• 1 egg

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Combine the peanut butter, white sugar and egg. Mix until smooth.
3. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 6 to 8 minutes. Do not overbake! These cookies are best when they are still soft and just barely brown on the bottoms.


Oatmeal Walnut
Any nut can be substituted for walnuts, almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, etc...

• 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
• 1 cup of uncooked quick oats*
• 1/4 cup crushed walnuts

Directions:

* Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a non-stick cookie sheet with cooking spray or use a.

* Combine the mashed bananas and oats in a bowl. Fold in the walnuts and place a tablespoon of each on the cookie sheet.

*Bake 15 minutes. Makes 16 cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cookies (with bananas)

• 2 large bananas
• 1 cup of Quick Oats
• 1 scoop of chocolate chips

Directions:
same as above, substitute chocolate chips for walnuts

3 Ingredient Biscoff Spread Cookies

• 1 cup Biscoff spread
• 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon flour
• 1 large egg

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Line two baking sheets with silpat mats or parchment paper. Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until smooth cookie dough forms. It will be a little sticky and oily, but you should be able to work with the dough.

Take 2 tbsp of dough and roll into a smooth ball. Place onto baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, spacing two inches apart. Bake for about 10 minutes. Cookies will spread and should no longer be wet and gooey. Let cookies completely cool on cookie sheets to firm up and set before removing and eating.

Peanut Butter Crispies

4 cups crisp rice cereal
1 package (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips (or whatever flavor baking chips you want)
4 heaping tablespoons peanut butter (smooth or chunky)

Directions:
Melt the chocolate chips and the peanut butter together in a heavy saucepan on low heat, stirring constantly. Fold in the cereal. Remove from heat. Plop spoonfuls of the cookie mixture onto a cookie sheet or any platter covered with wax paper. Place in refrigerator until the cookies are firm.


Butter Shortbread Cookies

1+1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup softened butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all 3 ingredients at once and mix with an electric mixer at medium speed for 8 minutes. Mixture may be dry and crumbly to start, but will become more batter-like after mixing. Drop by heaped teaspoons onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper or parchment paper. If you prefer, you can roll the batter into smooth balls and flatten lightly on cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned

Cake Mix Cookies

2 eggs
1 (18.25 ounce) package any flavor cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Mix the three ingredients together in a large bowl. Make small 1 inch balls with the dough and set on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 - 10 minutes.

Chewy Coconut Macaroons

5+1/3 cups coconut flakes
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (they should be very lightly browned). Slide all the cookies off the cookie sheet by pulling on the wax paper and let the cookies cool on the wax paper.
