NFL Super Bowl XLVI tickets available, but pricey

If you have to be there for the Manning/Brady showdown, there are approximately 2,000 NFL Super Bowl 2012 tickets available right now. Half of those are official tickets sold by the National Football League via Ticketmaster.

But those tickets aren't cheap. The cheapest seats (the parking lot) are between $100 and $120. There are only eleven of those parking lot tickets left at ticketsolutions.com. The rest are on sale from well over $2,000 to $16,000. Ticketsolutions.com has been around for a long while. It has approximately 977 Super Bowl 46 tickets remaining.

But the NFL has launched its own campaign so NFL fans can get authenticated tickets to the Super Bowl event on Sunday Feb. 5, 2012. Still, the NFL's collaboration with Ticketmaster is spending typical of the one percent. NFL Ticket Exchange/Ticketmaster tickets are on sale from between $2613 to $60,519 each. NFL's Ticket Exchange has over 1,000 tickets on sale.

Beginning Jan. 27, the NFL and Ticketmaster are providing football fans added convenience and security with two authorized NFL Ticket Exchange retail locations in Indianapolis. During Super Bowl week, walk-up retail locations for the NFL Ticket Exchange will be open in downtown Indianapolis at The Huddle at Circle Centre Mall (130 S Meridian Street / Corner of Meridian and Georgia Streets) and at the NFL Shop at Super Bowl at the Indiana Convention Center. On game day, fans will be able to pick up their Super Bowl XLVI tickets up until kickoff at The Huddle location.

And in the spirit of giving, the NFL is giving away tickets to charitable NFL fans in Indianapolis as well. From Jan. 27 to Feb. 3, the NFL Ticket Exchange will be working with Second Helpings, a local Indianapolis food rescue organization, to offer fans the chance to win a pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLVI.

Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to the NFL Ticket Exchange at The Huddle location will be eligible to enter for a chance to win. One entry daily and entrants must be at least 18 years old to participate. Fans visiting the NFL Ticket Exchange at the Indiana Convention Center will also enjoy the chance to win daily prizes, including Ticketmaster gift cards, NFLShop.com gift cards, and customized jerseys.

The Super Bowl game between the Patriots and the Giants kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Lucas Oil Field Stadium. Madonna's the half-time performer. And Kelly Clarkson is the likely National Anthem soloist.

Those who don't plan to purchase an NFL Super Bowl package or tickets in Indianapolis can watch the game on NBC. Or stream the game on the web.

For the record--the Super Bowl isn't officially "sold out." But the affordable tickets are in the hands of hedgers, like ticketsolutions.com or other trading posts.
