But if you missed it, Philadelphia brand cheese has you covered. The company's got some throwback cheesecake recipes you can do at home. Philadelphia recipes are superior to just about any dessert recipe makers out there because Philadelphia doesn't bog bakers down with a zillion unnecessary ingredients.
PHILADELPHIA has been in the cheesecake game more than 140 years. The brand looked at how taste preferences have evolved throughout the years and developed new recipes to reflect dessert-lovers' ever-changing taste buds. These modernized favorites include Boston Cream, Bananas Foster, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Mojito cheesecakes.
Here is one recipe exclusively available at the Facebook site.
1/4 cup butter, divided
24 shortbread cookies finely crushed (1 1/2 cups)
4 large bananas, divided
4 pkg (8 oz each) Philadelphia Cream Cheese softened
Heat oven 325 F.
Melt 1 Tbsp butter. Mix with cookie crumbs, press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Bake 10 min.
Mash 2 bananas slightly in large bowl. Add cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup rum, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla; beat with mixer until blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each until blended. Pour over crust.
Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 min or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake, cook before removing rim. Refrigerate cheesecake 4 hours.
Cook remaining butter, sugar and rum in small saucepan on low heat 10 min or until butter is melted and sauce is thickened. Cool 10 min. Slice remaining bananas just before serving cheesecake; arrange on cheesecake. Drizzle with sauce.
