WWE Raw gets Rocked with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's return

Superstar entertainer, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, makes his way to the WWE ring Monday night.

Early bets say this time The Rock will get into an altercation. He may have to bring team "Bring It" to the ring and knock John Cena about for a bit. Or vice versa. A good argument, a physical one even, would be the prelude to Wrestlemania 28. It really doesn't matter which star gets chumped, it's a good precursor.

Wrestlemania XXVIII isn't happening until April 2012, but The Rock is a superstar promoter and a promotional round and visit on the WWE is bound to excite and rev up the pay-per-view audiences nationwide.

The Rock is Wrestlemania magazine's December cover story. Sporting a bald head and a goatee, The Rock is summoning Stone Cold Steve Austin vibes. He's barely recognizable.

He's also filming G.I. Joe Retaliation with Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum. In G.I. Joe, The Rock is a good guy.

The Rock made his way back to the WWE stage last April, but without a wrestling match or a fight.

The Rock made a name for himself in the WWF with his entrance alone in the late 90s. "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking," and "opening up a can of whoop ass" were Rock taglines from back in the day. The Rock hasn't surrendered the first tagline. The Rock has shifted his brand from witty and annoying pretty boy pro-wrestler in to movie star floating in the highest orb.

The Rock's new brand is "Team Bring It." Team Bring it is a pledge drive on The Rock's Facebook page where pledges promise to stand firm in the face of adversity and "bring it" every day.

The Rock may need several months before he gets back into the ring with Cena.

First off, The Rock has a civilian Hollywood star softy image that he'll need to reconcile before getting back in the ring with Cena. The Rock's movie career has softened the edgy pro-wrestler image. Since the old days of WWF with Jim McMahon were put on hold, the last ten years Hollywood has filmed The Rock in tutu's and ballet slippers, as a cab driver for paranormal kids, and as the Tooth Fairy.

The G.I. Joe movie isn't expected to premier until summer 2012, months after April's Wrestlemania XXVIII. Cena's won a couple more championship belts than The Rock. But Cena also has tried his hand in acting and movie ventures--a route that a number of pro-wrestlers, Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and The Rock have taken.

Cena's had 12 screen appearances, most being television and his most notable film role, The Marine. Cena started his WWE career in 2000 just as The Rock exited the ring with a championship belt and began life on the Big Screen. Cena's not just a wrestler, he's a rapper too.

The Rock, 39, is five years older than Cena. His first leading role was The Scorpion King. Despite the pro-wrestler personality--- arrogant and really disrespectful--The Rock tends to take on tender roles and inspirational roles. Like his role as the coach in The Gridiron Gang.

WWE airs Monday night on USA in three hour special. The Rock is a guest star on WWE Raw gets Rocked, while John Cena is a WWE headliner . .
