Police arrest thee men in attempted home invasion in Norwood Park, IL

Norwood Park is a neighborhood within the city limits of Chicago located on the city’s northwest side, normally a peaceful place, until three men tried to kick down the doors of a residence Monday night.

The incident took place Monday night at about 7:30 pm. Frantic residents in a home in Norwood Park called police as three men began kicking the front door and the back door of the house in an attempt to get inside. Inside the home were a couple, frightened and frantic.

According to the Chicago Tribune, police arrived at the scene and found the three men attempting to get into the home. Now, as of Tuesday night, the three men have been officially charged with attempted burglary of a residence.

Now charged with a felony are Demarcos Felton, 27, Scott Edwards, 22, and Jordan Michael Scott, 21. Felton and Edwards are both from the 5100 block of West Crystal Street. Michael Scot is from suburban Berkley. The home that they attempted to enter is located in the 5800 block of North Oconto.

The residents of the home were not harmed. The three men are expected to appear in a bond court for a hearing on Wednesday.
