Daghestan Blast Kills Russian Soldiers

Two Russian soldiers were killed and six wounded in a bombing in the troubled southern Russian republic of Daghestan.

Regional Interior Ministry spokeswoman Anzhela Martirosova said the roadside bomb exploded on the outskirts of Buinaksk town in the night of February 10 as a team of combat engineers was patrolling the area.

Daghestan, which borders the republic of Chechnya, is plagued by violence against police officers and soldiers.
