There has been a lot of water under the bridge between the Teutuls, but the death of Senior's mother may result in the last opportunity gone for a reconnection.
It’s another week at work for the Teutuls, but this week is unlike any other before for Paul Sr., who is building a gold-plated chopper for Donald Trump and balancing work with OCC with his stint on Celebrity Apprentice. More importantly, however, the death of Senior’s mother has left him devastated, but the reaction—or, rather, the non-reaction—from Paul Jr. and Mikey has left him crushed.
Following the show last week, Senior said that he was disappointed that he had heard nothing from either of his sons following the live show, and said that it really hurt him that all communication had ceased once again. He would, he said, continue to pursue a relationship, as best he could, but that he was going to have to get some kind of response in return. It seems that, however, the lack of response and level of hurt increased dramatically following the death of Senior’s mother—perhaps, in fact, it could simply be the end of the road for Senior’s efforts.
“I would never work with family again,” Senior responded to a fan question about the Trump assertion that working with family is great when it works, and the worst of the worst when it doesn’t. “I think that’s a big result of where we are now, and a big cause of that. It seems to work very well for him. I think his kids are very respectful. … It’s kinda like he did say. … It could be a curse or a blessing, for me, it was a curse. … Evidently, the result of it is kinda where we are right now. But, if you were to say to me, ask me if you should go into business with your kids, me personally, I would say no, for any family.”

It does seem that Senior is unlikely to have to worry about working with either Paul Jr. or Mikey anytime in the near future, given Junior’s remarks in the aftershow.
Paul Jr. said that he had no thoughts of calling his father following the Vegas showdown. “No, I don’t know why he would hear from me—I hugged him,” he said, flatly rejecting the idea that there should be any re-connection between him and his father. “I don’t know how he took that,” regarding the hug and the “I love you” at the build. “I don’t know why I would call him after that. Things have to change, it’s that simple.” In fact, Junior seemed to have put their relationship aside completely. “A lot for me came out of that whole situation. … In spite of the fact that I don’t appreciate the way he acts, I still love him. For me, that put a lot of things to bed. It’s changed a little bit, the way that I look at the situation. I think a lot was accomplished there.”
The team at OCC has accomplished a lot businesswise recently, with the building of the Trumpmobile. But, Jason revealed that his original design was not what The Donald had envisioned.
Jason said that his initial design was rejected by Donald Trump. He was excited to be working with Trump, he added, but intimidated. “The first time we showed it to him was downtown New York City,” he said. “It was just a quick hand-sketch,” he explained, “because that’s how I start all of my stuff, is with a quick hand-sketch. I showed it to him and he asked if it could be a taller chopper—something longer. We had more of a pro-street ride for him, and he asked if we could push the front wheel out and bring the backbone up.” Jason confirmed that he was, however, planning on doing the gold-plating from the beginning. “He’s a freak for gold,” Jason laughed, “And the price of gold is up, so….”
