The Lizard Lick guys never seem to go anywhere without finding a repo.
“You’re kidding me,” Bobby says when Ron finds a 1979 MG on their repo list at a car show on the latest episode of Lizard Lick Towing on truTV. “I bring you out one day. One day. ‘Hey, let’s go to the car show, let’s have some fun, let’s not work’” he says, pacing around.
Of course, being at the car show, they did not have their usual towing equipment. So, there was little choice but to drive it away. Now, if anyone has ever seen an MG, they are small little cars, and both Ronnie and Bobby are big guys. After losing rock-paper-scissors, Ronnie worked his way into the car, after Bobby told the owner they had a bet that Ron could not fit into it. Now, talk about funny—you take a car from a car show, it’s not going to be easy, it doesn’t matter what kind of paperwork you have to back it up. But, when a man stuffed in an MG begins speeding away, with a guy screaming, “He’s stealing my car! He’s stealing my car!” trying to jump in and hang on tight, well, it’s just downright funny. And, of course, other car owners jumped in, threatening to call the police and trying to stop them—but, no one ever stops the Lick.
Well, unless Ronnie blows the engine and the car is left on the side of the road.
Actually that didn’t work for the guy either. He and his car show friends came flying to the rescue but, when they realized that it was a repo, not a theft, they dumped their friend on the side of the road, and everyone had a ride out of the middle of nowhere except the guy losing his car.
Pays to pay your bills.
The second repo of the episode about got the guys shot, when Amy, a former power-lifter, found the car of an old fight rival. Even under bad circumstances, and with Ronnie telling her that they needed to leave for the moment and return when the circumstances were better—they did not even have Bobby with them for back up—Amy insisted that Ronnie hook up to the car and, in the process, just about got them both killed. “I think that your big mouth and your pride is gonna get us killed,” Ron said when Amy began bragging after the car was repo’d. Of course, when Juicy let them know that the lienholder confirmed that Amy's rival had made her payment, it took some wind out of Amy's sails—but not before she decided she was going to start training again and get back in the ring. Ronnie was quick to point out, “You’re older now, Amy, we have a family, we have a business, you don’t need to be in a ring fighting nobody, honey.”
Hard to disagree with that one. She may have been good in her day—she is still a world-record holder in powerlifting, according to her Facebook page—back when she was Amy “Firecracker” Vaughan, but that was a lot of years ago—there’s a time to give it up and not look back, and Amy should probably consider that before she starts training for an MMA fight, as she claimed she was going to do last night. Perhaps it was just the heat of the moment and she’ll come to her senses, before she really does get hurt--or makes a complete fool of herself.
