The three days before Easter are also days of fasting and prayer. Easter Sunday is celebrated on Sunday, March 31, 2013. By that day, everyone will be ready to feast and have fun. ABC's “The Chew” is helping fans prepare for the big day.
Today on Extra Value Friday: Easter Feast Edition, the crew is celebrating Easter for less. Every week “The Chew” has an Extra Value Friday show to help fans learn now to enjoy life for less. They present tasty recipes you can prepare on a budget. Fans can get an array of fantastic ideas right in time for the weekend ahead.
For Easter, the crew is showing a variety of yummy recipes to make on this important holiday. Many people serve a ham with vegetables. Sometimes they also add a pasta dish such as lasagna or baked ziti. Other people might prepare leg of lamb with mint jelly. One Facebook fan commented, "On Easter I cook like crazy, we're having lamb, candied yams, mashed potatoes,gravy, green beans, waldrof salad. Plus a little wine." Desserts include cake and cookies along with plenty of Easter candy. Easter baskets are filled with chocolate, jelly beans and peeps.

Everyone is looking forward to getting a few budget-conscious recipe and craft suggestions for Easter on “The Chew.” The crew is showing everyone the best way to make hard-boiled eggs. They are also preparing lamb for Easter dinner.
ABC's “The Chew” Visits Conrad's Confectionery
Sweet treats are a special part of Easter celebrations. The Easter bunny leaves baskets of eggs, candy and small toys for children. Kids of all ages look forward to sampling popular Easter candy. Today ABC's “The Chew” is visiting Conrad's Confectionery in New Jersey to see how the candy is made and presented.
