Taylor, J.D., deputy FDA commissioner for foods and veterinary medicine, stated, “This standard 'gluten-free' definition will eliminate uncertainty about how food producers label their products and will assure people with celiac disease that foods labeled 'gluten-free' meet a clear standard established and enforced by the FDA.” HGTV discovered people following a gluten-free diet have a variety of options. Recipes are tailored to suit the needs of people avoiding gluten and include favorites such as pizza, oatmeal and cupcakes. From zucchini bread to gluten-free cookies, HGTV is serving up old favorites with a gluten-free flair.
