Revered by Justin Bieber, Boyz II Men are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour. Yesterday the renowned R&B group kicked off their 2012 U.S. tour at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Boyz II Men are beloved for classic 1990s songs such as “I'll Make Love to You,” “End of the Road,” and “On Bended Knee.” Last year, Justin Bieber and Boyz II Men performed “Fa, La, La” on Bieber's holiday album Under the Mistletoe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boyz II Men are one of the musical influences that inspired Justin Bieber. When Biebs found out he would be performing with them, he tweeted, “i used 2 listen to their music and practice the runs. that is how i learned how to sing. now im in the studio with them making music 2gether.”

Boyz II Men also offered Bieber some sage advice while they spent time in the studio together. The trio won four Grammys in the 1990s. In 2009, they were nominated for two Grammys. The teen idol indicated, “Im honored and blessed. Thank u.”

All Hip Hop reports the Boyz II Men tour includes 36 dates to celebrate 20 years of being in the music industry. The tour started at Carnegie Hall in New York on February 9 and wraps up in Ventura, California on August 10. Last month, Boyz II Men scored a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
