NYC Chef Celebrates New Year's Eve with The Chew

Today on ABC's The Chew a top culinary expert from Manhattan will join the crew for a fabulous New Year's Eve party to bring in 2013.

As everyone prepares for Christmas just a few days away, people are already thinking about what they will do for New Year's Eve a week later. Today on ABC's “The Chew” viewers will get some great ideas from the crew and a celebrity guest. Gail Monaghan will visit the show to help them prepare for the ultimate bash to ring in 2013.

Today cooking teacher and writer Gail Monaghan will join “The Chew” to help them prepare for a fabulous New Year's Eve bash. Gail is no stranger to the crew since she has educated Mario Batali about the history of certain classic dishes such as Baked Alaska and Beef Wellington. The intelligent cook does her job from a lost in Manhattan. She writer features for the Wall Street Journal in the Off Duty Section and also hosts the Wall Street JournalDigital network web series, “Cooking Confidential with Gail Monaghan.”

Originally the owner and operator of a design business, Gail turned to a cooking career in the early 1990s. She has published articles for leading publications such as Martha Stewart Living, Food and Wine, The New York Times and Oprah. Besides being a writer, she also edits cookbooks for industry leaders such as James Beard. Gail has created gourmet scones and cookies for several eateries in New York City including Dean & DeLuca. Her published books include “Some Like it Hot” and “Perfect Picnics for All Season.” Gail has also been teaching cooking since 1997.

Her presence on “The Chew” is sure to teach the crew and their viewers a few good tips. Her experience and passion for cooking are an excellent way to bring in a New Year with the finest cuisine. Everyone likes to have a tasty meal for New Year's Eve before their resolutions kick in to eat less and workout more. The final look was a magnificent red dress that emphasized the upper half to balance the lower one.
