Friday is here and everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving, including “The Chew” crew. Today they are doing more than talking turkey. The show is offering Thanksgiving recipes for some delicious side dishes to make the occasion even more special.
Side Dishes on “The Chew”
ABC's “The Chew” is all about food, life and fun. In fact, they even released a book about it. Naturally this popular lifestyle television show is focusing on Thanksgiving. For the past two weeks, the crew has offered an array of great ideas to make Turkey Day even more exciting. Clinton showed everyone how to make crafts with cranberries and made some alluring cocktails with cranberry flair. The Battle of the Iron Grandma awarded a winner for the best stuffing recipe. Celebrity guests shared their holiday recipes and ideas, including Billy Ray Cyrus and Andre Braugher.
Friday is a day the show offers budget-conscious advice and great Thanksgiving recipes to get through the weekend. Today “The Chew” will offer some tasty side dish recipes to accompany the turkey on Thanksgiving. People look forward to the distinctive sides dishes served on this holiday. Mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes are always a welcome addition to the plate. People also enjoy stuffing, corn, green bean casserole and more. Cranberry sauce adds a sweet touch to the meal. The crew will be making corn muffins with flair. Clinton and Michael are making their own versions of creamed spinach. Clinton's fat is butter while Michael's is bacon fat.
“The Chew” asked Facebook fans whether they liked the turkey or the sides dishes better. Many viewers prefer to nosh on the side dishes. One fan stated, “I'm not crazy about turkey, so I would have to say the sides....plus dessert!!” Most people look forward to decadent desserts such as pies, cakes and fudge. Either way, side dishes seem to make the Thanksgiving meal while desserts are the ideal way to top it all off. A whopping 87 percent of viewers prefer the side dishes over the turkey. Clinton will also render some verdicts about side dishes as "Judge Foodie." The show is stepping back in time to the Plimouth Plantation for a slice of Thanksgiving history.

Besides helping people to make magnificent meals for family and friends, “The Chew” is also concerned about giving back. Some people do not have the money to buy good food.
