Comforting Chocolate on ABC's “The Chew”
Nothing brings to mind Valentine's Day more than a box of chocolate or any type of chocolate treat. Often couples set the scene for romance with chocolate truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Martha Stewart visited ABC's “The Chew” earlier this week and presented a variety of irresistible chocolate cakes to make for your sweetheart. With the day of love right round the corner, thoughts turn to date night and feasting on seductive chocolate goodies.
Today fans can look forward to more luxurious chocolate food on “The Chew.” Coupled with comfort foods, chocolate is the ultimate way to end a Valentine's Day meal. Comfort food has been another theme this week on ABC's “The Chew” and “The Taste” as people consider what to make for dinner to impress that special someone. Setting a comfortable scene is the ideal way to begin a loving night together. Comfort foods and chocolate help makes the stress slip away so couples can focus on more important things. Hubert Keller and Yvette Nicole Brown on ABC's “The Chew”
Nothing sounds better than chocolate recipes prepared by “The Chew” and a gourmet chef. Their guest today is Hubert Keller and he is preparing a delicious dark chocolate souffle. Hubert is a noted French chef who appeared on Bravos' “Top Chef Master.” He is also well-known for his signature restaurants, Fleur de Lys in Las Vegas and San Franscisco. His luxurious dark chocolate recipe is sure to be a winner.
There will be two more amazing chocolate recipes on “The Chew.” Mario Batali is serving up a chocolate hazelnut cake that sounds like the perfect way to top off any Valentine's Day dinner. Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly are making a triple chocolate whoopie pie cake. Many people fondly remember whoopie pies from their youth. These memories are sure to come flooding back when this dessert is presented on Valentine's Day. Today's episode is dedicated to "Death by Chocolate" and going loco for cocoa. Carla and Clinton dedicated their C&C chocolate factory dance to a 13-year-old fan who submitted a video of her own C&C dance.
To make today's show even sweeter, Yvette Nicole Brown will be joining the crew in the kitchen. Tonight season 4 of “Community” returns on NBC at 8:00 p.m. ET. Along with serving up a healthy dose of love, there is sure to be laughter on “The Chew” today as this sitcom star helps out with the cooking. “Community” follows a group of students attending a community college. The show was originally scheduled to start the fourth season October but was held off until tonight.
