The theme of ABC's “The Chew” has been parties. From a Mardi Gras shindig to a potluck party, the crew has shown fans how to do it best for less. Now there will be another good excuse for people to gather and eat well. On Sunday night, the Academy Awards will air on ABC. The show is even more exciting when you watch it with your favorite people.
Today the crew will share fantastic recipes from cocktails to desserts. Often Clinton shows viewers how to make the most intoxicating and delicious cocktail specialties. Carla is renowned for her decadent dessert recipes. Mario serves up Italian food like nobody else while Michael is a man who knows how to prepare meat. Daphne offers healthy suggestions featuring plenty of vegetables and good stuff. The combination is sure to be award-winning when fans start to plan a dinner or party meal for the night of the Oscars. Few people can resist recipes from “The Chew” and they make a party even more fun.
On their Facebook page, “The Chew” asked fans to share the dishes they make that have their family and friends ravings. One fan commented, “My French grandma's oven fried chicken recipe from the 60's. A broke widow with 8 kids knew how to create FABULOUS recipes on a shoestring.” Another said, “My homemade Salisbury steak with the fixings. FYI. My 5 year old wouldn't eat beef before this mad now he does.” There was also the comment, “My Creamy Spinach Dip. I make it for every party and holiday and it's always gone within minutes. Plus it looks festive at Christmastime!” It shows all the generations appreciate fine food for everyday dinners and gatherings for special occasions. Food definitely adds to the good times, no matter who wins the Oscars.

The award-winning dishes presented on “The Chew” today are in honor of the upcoming Oscars. This set of awards is given each year for excellence of cinematic achievements. Informally referred to as the Oscars, the statuette is actually named the Academy Award of Merit. There are nine types of Academy Awards. The awards are given at a formal ceremony given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The awards were first given in 1929. This year the 85th Academy Awards will be awarded on February 24 at the Dolby Theater.
