The most dangerous time for our pets are holidays. The house is full of different kind of holiday foods that can sometimes be harmful not only the owners, but also their pets, dogs and cats.

Thanksgiving is one of them. Let's start by saying that you should not feed your dog with the turkey leftovers. The Turkey bones may be harmful to your pet.

The organizations protecting animals’ rights warn that Holidays can be stressful for your animals, if you give your pets turkey bones. Your pet anyway is already contaminated with a lot of toxic chemicals, so you should be even more watchful of your pet's care.

According to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals the pet or cat owners should take the following cautionary measures to prevent their loved pets from dangers during holiday time.

Do not give your pet turkey bones. It will harm their internal organs. While enjoying your holiday keep caring for your pet in your mind.

* Fatty or new type of food will put your pet in a danger of having pancreatitis or gastroenteritis.

* Onion stuffed food will destroy red blood cells , which will cause anemia.

* Fruits, especially grapes and raisins will cause kidney damage to dogs and cats.

* Chocolates and other sweet things will your animal get sick.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Los Angeles also advises to animal owners to have special identification tags on their pets with the address and contact details of the owner. The Holiday season could be stressful for your animal (to many guests, noises, maybe firewall), which will provoke their escape from the house. Prepare a separate room, a cozy environment for your dogs and cats far from strange eyes.

"Pets that have their own room will feel safer, less stressed and won't be able to accidentally escape out the front door" says Madeline Bernstein, president of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The final advice for you: The classical music will relax your pet or cat's nerves. Therefore, some soft classical music may be good for your pet's relaxation.
