Bajaj Auto Demerges Its Business

The media had reports on February 09, 2007 that Bajaj Auto Ltd is planning to demerge its business.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The company explores on a regular basis various opportunities to enhance business and share holder value. The demerger is one such opportunity. However, there is nothing concrete to report in this matter at the moment." -- www.nseindia.com
