The 100-seat restaurant is located on the second floor of The Franklin Institute, and will offer a selection of popular Egyptian-themed and middle eastern dishes. Guests can choose from an assortment of meze-or first plates, such as Stuffed Grape Leaves and Baba Ganoush.
Main course dishes include Braised Chicken with Pistachios and Apricots, Salmon with Golden Raisins and Roasted Tomatoes, Braised Lamb with Fava Beans, and Shrimp Tijan with Saffron Cream and Cilantro. Afterwards, it will be difficult to say "no"Â to such specialty desserts as Cinnamon Almond Cheesecake and Pharaoh's Golden Pyramid Chocolate Cake topped with real gold.
Ensconced beneath a royal blue and golden 'tent' with burgundy accents, dining in "Tut's Oasis"Â is sure to make all visitors feel like royalty. Open throughout the run of the exhibition, Tut's Oasis does not accept reservations. It is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. -- www2.fi.edu
