The Honorable Georgios A. Voulgarakis, Minster of Culture for the Hellenic Republic, and Dr. Michael Brand, director of the J. Paul Getty Museum, today jointly issued the following statement at a press conference in Athens:

"Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Hellenic Republic and the J. Paul Getty Museum met at the Ministry of Culture. The purpose of the meeting was the return of the two remaining antiquities claimed by Greece, the gold funerary wreath and the statue of the kore of Parian marble.

"The heads of the delegations, Mr. Christos Zachopoulos (Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture) and Dr. Michael Brand, signed the agreement for the return of the two antiquities. The antiquities will return to Greece before the end of March of this year.
