Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared that in case of adoption of the Armenian Genocide bill in the US Congress it will harm Turkish-American relations.
"We anticipate that the Congress will not adopt such decision. But if it surprises us, I'm afraid it will shadow our strategic partnership,"Â Erdogan declared during the meeting with American businessmen.
According to the Reuters, the Prime Minister did not go into detail what Turkey can do in case of adoption of the resolution.
Turkish "Anatolu"Â agency reports that Erdogan accused the Armenian Diaspora of disputing the Genocide issue.
The Turkish Prime Minister also assured that the small Armenian community in their country is safe notwithstanding the assassination of the editor-in-chief of the Agos daily in Istanbul in January of the current year. - Public Radio of Armenia
