
Scott M. Black, a long-term supporter of the MFA, is a collector of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and early Modern paintings and sculpture.
An exhibition of some 40 paintings and 10 bronzes from his collection will feature Impressionist paintings by Cézanne, Degas, Monet, Pissarro, and Renoir; Post-Impressionist paintings by Bernard, Denis, Luce, van Rysselbergh, and Signac; and Modern paintings by Magritte, Matisse, Miró, and Picasso. Sculpture by Rodin, Maillol, and Lipchitz will also be on view.
A catalogue by George T. M. Shackelford, published by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will accompany the exhibition.
The picture shows Boats at Martigues, 1907, the author is Raoul Dufy.
