Armenian Parliament Adopts Dual-Citizenship Bill

Armenia's parliament has adopted a bill allowing dual citizenship for members of the country's large foreign diaspora and others.

Justice Minister David Haroutiunian told lawmakers that the legislation could permit Armenian citizenship for foreigners who are at least 18 years old, can speak Armenian, and know the country's constitution, as well as foreigners who have an Armenian spouse or who are of Armenian origin.
