Celtic Lands Culture Fest is the fourth celebration in the 2006-2007 Passport to the World series at Cincinnati Museum Center. The Passport to the World series allows visitors to see, hear, touch and explore other cultures without leaving Cincinnati. Each Passport celebration highlights one heritage in an array of displays and activities. The series provides a forum to interact and learn with community members of different cultures.

The 9th annual Celtic Lands Culture Fest presents an array of folklore and art from the British Isles. Marvel at the fast and fancy footwork of traditional Celtic dancers, enjoy Celtic music by local musicians, and shop the vendors' booths for authentic wares.

Celtic Lands Culture Fest activities include:

* Performances by local musicians such as Murphy's Law, Ceol Mhor, Traveler's Dream and more;

* Traditional Celtic dancing by the McGing Irish Dancers, the Riley School of Irish Music, the Cincinnati Highland Dancers and more;

* The Celtic Forest in the Losanitville Café features activities such as storytelling, folk art demonstrations, dance workshops and face painting;

* Shop for Celtic souvenirs in the Rotunda market place.

Also, an on-line quiz about Celtic cultures is available on our web site and teaches basic information about these northern European regions.

Don't forget to get your Passport! "Passports" will be available at each Culture Fest. At each event, visitors collect stamps at various stamping stations. Once the Passport is full, it can be exchanged for a prize at that event. All Passports will be put into a drawing for a one-year Explorer Family membership to be given away on Monday, April 30.

Celtic Lands Culture Fest runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11. Culture Fests are open to the public, with the exception of the activities in the museums, which are subject to general museum admission. Parking is $4.50 per car.

The 2006-2007 Passport to the World series concludes with Asian Culture Fest on April 28 and 29, 2007.

Admission to the Cincinnati History Museum, Duke Energy Children's Museum and the Museum of Natural History & Science is just $10, $7 for children, $9 for seniors. Parking is $4.50 per car.
