Jim Morrison’s ghost has been seen in his childhood home in Virginia, according to a woman that lives there. The lead-singer of the Doors has been seen crawling into bed in his old bedroom in that home. That’s not all, when Jim lays down in the bed, it is occupied by one of family members who live in the house.
Morrison has been dead for almost 40 years and his infatuation with the spirit world has been widely documented, so it would make sense that if anyone were to come back and embark on a haunting, it would be Jim.
According to Rhonda Baron, who lives in Morrison’s childhood home in Arlington, Virginia, Morrison has crawled into bed with her on a few occasions. She occupies the same bedroom that the “Doors” rock icon did when he lived in the house, according to website WUSA9.com.
Baron said that a transparent Morrison would lay down on the bed next to her and then turn his head and look at her. Baron said Morrison’s image is like a haze. She goes on to say that this happened a few times while she was having relationship problems with her boyfriend. As soon as the issue with Baron’s boyfriend was resolved, Jim stopped making his visits.
Morrison's ghost appeared to Baron about 10 years after he died and Baron decided now that she would share this information with the world. These postmortem visits stopped once Baron told the ghost of Morrison that her relationship problems were over. Who’d guess that after the Door’s singer died that he would come back as a relationship counselor?
Morrison has actually gotten more media attention this year after the out-going Florida governor, Charlie Crist pardoned Morrison for exposing his penis in public while in Florida performing almost a half a century ago. Crist made this one of his final missions before he left office.
Morrison was infatuated with the spirit world and the traditions of the American Indians when it came to their spiritual beliefs of the dead. Many songs preformed by the “Doors” were written by Morrison and many of his pieces had another world feel about them. Many of his songs were eerie and spiritual.
The Morrison family lived in three different homes in Arlington Virginia when “little Jimmy,” which is what he was called in one of his old neighborhoods, lived there. Baron gave no explanation as to why after all these years, she decided to share Morrison’s ghost story with the public. This happened almost thirty years ago. One question comes to mind - Is this house going on the market soon?
