Porn Star Prom Date Drama Continues As Teen's Mom Says Okay

The story that started with Minnesota high school senior Mike Stone asking porn stars to the prom and making plans to bring adult film performer Megan Piper to the function seemed to end with school officials nixing the idea. But then Stone's mom said she was okay with the idea.

One of the things Mike Stone's high school principal told him when he called him into his office to inform him that he couldn't bring his porn star date, Megan Piper, to the high school prom was to "not get into any more drama like this." But it seems as though the 18-year-old high school senior has gotten into more drama like "this" -- and with the help of his mother.

Although she apparently was originally embarrassed by the story of her son asking porn stars to his high school prom and getting called by the principal (where she first found out about the scheduled prom date), Stone's mother, Diven Stone, has just as apparently changed her mind about the situation. She now supports her son's proposed plans for prom night.

She admitted to being "upset at first, but now I support him," she told She told KSTP in Minneapolis-St. Paul. "He'll be coming home alone, though, when it's over."

She said it pained her to see the rejection in her son's face. Before asking out several porn stars in 600 Twitter postings, Stone had asked out a number of young women at Tartan Senior High School but kept hearing that they were already going to the prom with someone.

Diven Stone said that when she met with school officials about their intended banning of porn stars from the school premises, she told them, "It's not like they're going to have sex there or make a movie. I bet if his date were someone like Mariah Carey, though, they would have paid to fly her here."

The North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District cited regulations for their decision to not allow Stone to bring his porn star escort on school grounds. They noted that school officials could deny persons access to school events if their admission was deemed not in the students' best interests or if it disrupted the school's normal operations.

Not to be denied his special night, the mom-backed student told KTSP, "If they don’t let us in, I’m going to throw my own party."

Stone and his mother aren't the only ones who think he should be allowed to take whoever he wants to the prom. Catie Meuwissen, a Tartan Senior student, created an online petition (at Care 2 Petitionsite) to get school officials to rescind their decision and allow Piper to attend the prom. She also took to her Facebook account and urged Stone to fight the school district's ruling and sue them for discrimination.

The Daily Dot, the media outlet that first posted the story, reported that the high school senior has had plenty of support throughout his quest, with many posting encouraging remarks on his Twitter account. A hashtag, #porn4prom, was created just for the topic and generated so much traffic on Wednesday it made the top trending Twitter topics in Minneapolis.

In fact, it generated so much traffic that PornHub, an online pornography website, has agreed to pick up the tab for Stone and his date.

The site posted to Twitter: "Time to make @madmike42948 #Porn4Prom dreams come true! We'lll fly in @xMeganPiper limo, restaurant, hotel suite ALL on @pornhub"

The North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District has not commented on the change in circumstances.

I know Mike personally from our school shop and I believe he should be able to bring them along. He worked so hard for this and he should be able to go
