Iraq's ambassador to Jordan, Sa'd al-Hayani, said Talibani will continue recovering in a hospital in Amman for several more days.

Talabani was flown to Jordan on February 25 for medical tests. His doctor has dismissed reports that the president was suffering from heart problems.

Meanwhile, violence claimed at least 22 lives in Iraq today. In the deadliest incident, a suicide truck bomber targeted an Iraqi police station in the northern city of Mosul, killing six officers.

In central Baghdad, a car bombing killed five people. And in the southeast of the city, five people were killed by a roadside bomb.
