Hartford Symphony Presents "Sunday Serenades" Series

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art have joined artistic forces to present the new chamber music series, "Sunday Serenades," on May 6, 2007, June 3, 2007, September 16, 2007 and November 18, 2007 at 2 pm in the Atheneum's glorious Morgan Great Hall in Hartford.

Under the artistic direction of HSO Concertmaster Leonid Sigal, these four afternoons of chamber music by world-class artists is presented in conjunction with the Atheneum's exhibition Faith and Fortune: Five Centuries of European Masterworks. The performance in May will include Beethoven's Sonata No. 9 for Violin and Piano, Mozart's Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Cello, K. 496 and Fauré's Piano Quartet No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 15. In addition to Mr. Sigal, the performers include: Alexander Gurevich, Margo Tatgenhorst Drakos, Vadim Lando and Ilya Itin.

The HSO's 2006-2007 Season is sponsored by RBC Dain Rauscher. Sponsorship of the Atheneum's Faith and Fortune Exhibit is provided by the Beatrice Fox Auerbach Foundation Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
