XTEND Communications Corp. Solutions Now Rated "Avaya Compliant"

Multiple intelligent console and call recording applications now certified for compatibility with key Avaya telephony solutions

XTEND Communications, a leading provider of telephony solutions for public safety, healthcare, hospitality and corporate environments, today announced that its intelligent console solutions and on-demand call recording software are compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services.

XTEND has successfully compliance tested its line of intelligent console solutions with Avaya Communication Manger 3.1.2 IP telephony software. This includes XTEND's AnswerProâ„¢ version 10.4 for general business applications, MediCallâ„¢ version 10.4 for the healthcare industry and XpressDeskâ„¢ version 10.4 for the hospitality industry. XTEND also completed testing for pc/psapâ„¢ version 5.5, a software console with an intuitive graphical user interface that helps public safety organizations handle 911 calls faster and more efficiently.

XTEND's STARchive® call recording solution version 2.0 also passed Avaya compliance testing. STARchive is a patented system for on-demand recording of phone calls that does not require hardware at the phone set.

"The successful compliance testing of our intelligent console and call recording applications provides users of Avaya technology the ability to add functionality to their phone system that addresses the unique requirements of their line of business," said Bill Schwartz, president and CEO of XTEND. "Avaya and XTEND continue to work together to build on the value of a company's investment in its communications infrastructure by integrating new user-focused features that improve productivity and customer service."

XTEND is a veteran of the Avaya compliance testing process with a number of other solutions. Among them is Enterprise Alertâ„¢, an Enhanced 911 tool for large businesses, school districts, universities and organizations wishing to protect staff and clientele.

XTEND is a Platinum member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program - an initiative to serve customer needs by developing, marketing and selling innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology. As a member of the program, XTEND is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes interoperable solutions that are easier and more cost-effective for companies to implement within their existing multivendor networks," said Eric Rossman, director of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program. "That means we're expanding the options businesses have for solving their most complex challenges and are helping them derive greater value from their communications infrastructure" - Avaya.
