Five Centuries Of Outstanding Prints

The 24th Annual Fine Print Fair, Cleveland’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition of fine prints, begins Friday, September 26, 2008 with an opening night benefit preview and continues Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cuyahoga Community College’s Corporate College located at 4400 Richmond Road in Warrensville Heights (at I-271 and I-480).

The Fine Print Fair benefits the Department of Prints at the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) and is sponsored by the Print Club of Cleveland, a non-profit adjunct organization dedicated to supporting the museum’s print collection, with additional support from Key Private Bank.

The ticket price of $10 ($5 for students with I.D.) covers entrance to the Fair both Saturday and Sunday. Hourly door prizes will be given away all weekend. The Corporate College cafe, Java City, will be open all day Saturday and Sunday and musicians from the Tri-C Jazz Fest will perform throughout the weekend.

The opening night benefit preview, Friday, September 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., features catered hors d’oeuvres by Sammy’s, a cash bar, free parking and an opportunity to select great works of art on paper before the Fine Print Fair opens to the public on Saturday.

“The Friday night party is a festive and fun way to kick-off the Fine Print Fair,” Linda K. DeMarco and Martha Hale, Fine Print Fair co-chairs, said. “It offers a chance to view and make purchases from a stellar selection of prints, drawings, and photographs assembled by 14 knowledgeable dealers.”

Tickets for the benefit preview are $85, $90 if purchased after September 10, and include readmission to the Fine Print Fair throughout the weekend.
