Toot, toot! It’s “All Aboard!” for family fun when Strong National Museum of Play presents its annual Family Trains Weekend Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 28, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Little engineers will enjoy train displays, crafts, and family activities daily.
• Hear the whistles blow and watch the trains chug around displays by the Genesee-N-Ontario Model N-Gineers, Flower City Tinplate Trackers, and RIT Model Railroad Club.
• Hop aboard the Strong Express Train for a FREE train ride that is sure to delight passengers young and old. (Free train rides are included with regular museum admission fees during “All Aboard”!)
• Get on the creative track with train-related crafts.
• Operation Lifesaver will be on hand to teach families train safety with a video display and colorful handouts.
• Visit the Lionel trains on view in the National Toy Hall of Fame.
