
The Saint Louis Art Museum announces a free family film, The Adventures of Prince Achmed. This silent film features live musical accompaniment by Miles and Karina, and will be shown on September 28 at 1 pm in the Museum Auditorium.
Climb aboard a flying horse and fly away to the kaleidoscopic world of The Arabian Nights. This breathtaking animated film tells the story of an Arabian prince, an evil sorcerer and a captured princess through shadow puppet techniques. Created in 1926 by a 23-year-old teacher in Germany, Prince Achmed is considered a masterpiece of early animated film. Recommended for children 7 and up.
