Late Nite Catechism, the gloriously funny, top notch, one woman comedy by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan, returns to the Copley Theatre October 1 – November 2, 2008 with matinee performances on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm and Saturday evening performances at 8pm.

In 1993 Vicki Quade brought to life an idea that Chicago Actress Maripat Donovan wanted to perform. Donovan was fascinated with the lives of the saints and wanted to do a stand up comedy routine around them. She approached Quade to write a short skit for her. Instead, Quade developed the idea and expanded it to the comedy wonder, Late Nite Catechism, which has been running in Chicago since 1993 and has turned into a national and international hit with productions in more than 150 cities.
Through her comedies, Quade has helped raise more than $2 million dollars, “every penny” of which she has donated to various orders of nuns nationwide. “Schools and parishes throughout Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin have enjoyed Late Nite Catechism as an easy way of raising much needed funds”, says Quade.
