Holiday Flora…
“A HOLIDAY GARDEN” (SEASONAL COURTYARD GARDEN DISPLAY)
Late-November – Early-January (Annual)
Each holiday season, the Gardner Museum’s interior courtyard gets decked out in its annual “Holiday Garden” attire, complete with winter berries, dozens of red poinsettias, flowering jade, jasmine trees, white azaleas and lady’s slipper orchids. The perfect winter escape for gardening enthusiasts, a mustn’t miss for families and visiting relatives, and an ever-fragrant and flower-filled escape from the winter weather, the interior courtyard garden at the Gardner Museum is itself a work of art, a sun- and flower-filled oasis in the heart of Boston’s only Venetian-inspired palazzo.
Holiday Fare….
“A HOLIDAY MENU” AT THE GARDNER CAFE
December 1st – 31st (Annual)
Each holiday season, The Gardner Cafe offers dining patrons a special holiday-themed menu inspired by menu items served by Isabella Gardner herself at a dinner party she hosted in the Dutch Room in December 1904. Executive Chef Peter Crowley updates Gardner’s own holiday recipes and Victorian-favorites each holiday season in a special holiday themed menu, in addition to the full menu. Past Holiday Menu dishes have included Filets de Sole Florentine, Fonds d'Artichauts (Filets of Sole with Spinach and Artichokes) and, for dessert, Bombe Nelusko (Chocolate and praline bombe glacee). -- www.gardnermuseum.org
