Under One Sky

Fiddler extraordinaire John McCusker was commissioned by Celtic Connections and the Cambridge Folk Festival to create Under One Sky, an ambitious collaborative project bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds and genres.

From Scotland, as well as John himself, the line-up features Gaelic songbird Julie Fowlis, Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub, Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble, percussionist James Mackintosh, bassist Ewen Vernal, and Iain MacDonald on pipes, whistles and flute.

The English contingent consists of singers John Tams and Jim Causley, accordionist Andy Cutting, guitarist Ian Carr and Anglo/Swedish fiddler Emma Reid. -- www.horsecross.co.uk
