Every day people walk or drive past the Sarasota Opera House, but many have never ventured inside. Many are curious about the recent changes to the historic building but have not yet had a chance to see it.
On Monday, October 27, the community is invited to visit the recently renovated theater during a Sarasota Opera “Open” House.
The Open House will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. During the evening, visitors will enjoy opera, operetta and musical theater selections performed throughout the building by artists from Sarasota Opera’s Fall Season. William Gustafson, the director of Sarasota Opera’s upcoming production of The Barber of Seville will be on hand to answer questions.
And the curious will get a behind-the-scenes look by taking a backstage tour. The first 1,000 guests will receive a special gift. Light refreshments will be served. -- www.sarasotaopera.org
