Woman Made Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its new juried group show, Object of Desire. Juried by Claire Wolf Krantz, the exhibition brings together the work of 34 artists creating in a variety of mixed media, including glass, clay, fiber, wood, paper, and beads.

While only a few pieces are created for art’s sake or to be functional, all of the artworks reveal thoughtful approaches to the subject matter. They include the artists’ choice of objects as cultural symbols and metaphors, deliberate selection of and fascination with the working material, and love of process in the creation of an object of personal desire.

The theme carries over from the main gallery group exhibition into our Artisan Gallery, see details on page two of this release. Beate Minkovski and the Woman Made Gallery always create great shows, as is this one.
As a member and participating artist, I can say being associated with WMG has benefited me personally as artist and within the art community. Thank you,.
