The media had reports that GMR Infrastructure Limited may acquire a coal mine in Indonesia for over $100 million.
National Stock Exchange Of India, Mumbai, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
GMR Infrastructure Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "Company has not given shared any information to the media about acquiring coal mine in Indonesia. Media reports are speculative and a conjecture through their own varied sources. Group is pursuing possibility of acquiring the coal mine in Indonesia. In the event of any crystallization on the above, which may have the bearing on the operation performance of the Company, the same will be intimated to the stock exchanges immediately." -- www.nseindia.com
