The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 shed 6,87% to reach 683,24 points (733,61 points as of November 1st, 2008). Last week all the key economy sectors represented on the Russian Stock Market closed in the negative territory. The major loser was the industrials sector, the corresponding index shrank by 26,56%. Significant decline was registered in the consumer & retail sector with the corresponding index losing 7,56%. The slightest but still tangible drop was reported by the financials sector. The RTSI – Financials slumped 0,37%.

The total trading volume on RTS for the week November 5th – 7th, 2008 equaled 1,0 bln. dollars (26,7 bln. roubles*), including all types of trades.
The week's top sellers were Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) – $10,162 mln., followed by Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) - $8,937 mln. and ОАО "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) – $6,829 mln. The share of each security in the total trading volume made up 24,54%, 21,58% and 16,49% accordingly.
The week's top gainers were ordinary shares of "FGC UES ", JSC (FEES) – by 60,34% to $0,00465, ordinary shares of JSC "INTER RAO UES" (IRAO) – by 50,00% to $0,0003 and ordinary shares of OJSC "Company "M.video" (MVID) – by 50,00% to $1,05.
The week's top losers were FESCO ordinary shares (FESH), that fell in price by 21,05% to reach $0,45, ordinary shares of KAMAZ Inc, (KMAZ) that closed 20,00% down at $1,6 per share and ordinary shares of "MOSTOTREST" (MSTT) that posted 19,44% loss at $725,0. -- www.rts.ru
