By transferring its certificate trading activities to the Xetra platform, the exchange is now able to offer all market participants across Europe access to 370,000 structured products in Frankfurt. Since the conversion, Scoach has been able to reduce its order transmission times to a fraction of what they were.
In the third quarter, Scoach increased its share in the market for exchange-traded structured products by 4.9 percent to 34.5 percent (Q3 2007: 29.6 percent). In October, the number of transactions executed by Scoach stood at 755,000, double the amount recorded in the same month of the previous year. Turnover was also at a record high: €4.2 billion (single counted).
Especially given the very volatile trading climate over the last few weeks, the reliability and high trading speed offered by the Xetra infrastructure have proved a particular advantage for all market participants. -- www.deutsche-boerse.com
